Just wanted to draw everyone’s attention to a few things:
- I mentioned this before, but programs can now be rated. If you try a program please come back and give the rating a little clicky.
- You can now see which programs are the highest rated in the side bar.
- I’ve changed the way programs are updated, which doesn’t effect the way you see them on the site, but may effect the RSS. If it’s a big deal I can change it back but I’d like not to because this makes my posting so much easier.
- I haven’t quite got the hang of the tags thing, but I’ve decided to add them for Illustrated and Beginner programs, as well as to mark any external libraries you’ll have to load (like curses or in the future allegro).
Finally, I’d like to reiterate the request for your support. Please help Cymon’s Games to grow; friends don’t let friends not know about Cymon’s Games. If you can program I’d like to beg for submissions. Consider letting your program be a future Cymon’s Game. Think of the prestige, think of the children, think of how much it would rock.

Not too sure Allegro is the way to go unless you really need the kitchen sink.

*shrug* I didn’t want to at first, not just because it’s possibly too inclusive (wait, how’s that a bad thing?) but because I don’t believe it has much of a lifespan left, but when I saw what could be done with a little bit of code I decided to give it a shot.
I’ll have to see how it handles audio out. If I can produce sounds without loading mp3s… well that’ll be the clincher.
