Well I strongly suggest reading another thread then.
If the worst thing that was on this board for you to get sick of was people saying "thanks" then what a sad sad world we live in.
If it were 6 months from now I might agree with you, but with the poor guy still labouring to get things up and running, I don't think any amount of "thanks" is likely to be too much.
And with any luck for you, people will put their thanks in this thread and you won't have to upset yourself reading it elsewhere.
Criticise people for harassing new members, or totally writing off the game someone's laboured long and hard to complete, or for putting spyware in their game, but don't criticise people for thanking someone for doing something on EVERYONE ELSES BEHALF.

Hopefully once the giddiness and excitedness of having the forum back up passes things will get back on a slightly more productive tack, but it's understandable given the down time that people are a bit hyper to start with especially with a whole fresh forum install to deface and make homely.
