David H. Ahl!
Friday, September 12th, 2008 | News
If you haven’t already noticed the page about the upcoming book has been updated with an exciting blurb. David H. Ahl has agreed to write a forward for it! For those who don’t already know David H. Ahl was editor of Creative Computing magazine that covered many topic and featured type-in programs from many people which were all later compiled into a few books, 101 BASIC games, more BASIC games, and Big Computer games to name a few.
The Favicon contest ends on the 15th so you still have 3 days to get your vote in. After the favicon contest the page peel in the corner will be redirected to a new focus, getting contributions for Cymon’s Games. You may have noticed that the past two programs have not been written by me. By the beginning of next month only one of a sequence of six programs will have been written by me. Whether this continues to happen is up to you.
Edit: Forgot to mention that this week’s program, Star Merchant, was a minor distraction for Devin Watson as he worked on Pothril. Not only was this program submitted by a Cymon’s games user, but it is also the largest program to date clocking in at 26 pages on the PDF and 4 source files.
I usually make a point of spacing out my news posts a little more than this, but there has been so much going on I just couldn’t wait.
(PS. Wow, vector math rocks.)
